A Place to Call Home: The 400,000
“A Place to Call Home: The 400,000” is a documentary film that focuses on the nearly 400,000 children currently in foster care in the US. By exploring their struggles, hopes, and the caring individuals who guide them, the film encourages communities to provide resources, guidance, and stable families for these kids.

FOSTER TO FOREVER
“Foster to Forever” addresses both the needs and aspirations of foster youth. This vital initiative supports and empowers local communities to provide strong, supportive networks, offering essential financial assistance and other vital services that help kids and families that are in foster care find a clear pathway to a forever home.
OUR FOCUS

We collaborate with agencies, NPOs, and churches to facilitate foster care assistance, with the hope that every child would have a place to call home.

We help high school age foster youth, as well as those who’ve “aged out” of the system, by offering vocational and technical training in the skilled trades, including tuition & fee assistance, and critical mentorship.

By engaging local churches, schools, and businesses, we educate communities on the needs of foster youth and organize awareness events.

Where possible, Gate117 partners with local organizations to provide safe, stable housing for youth transitioning out of foster care, and vital wraparound services to assist older foster youth in the transition to adulthood.
ABOUT US
GATE 117 is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to creating pathways to permanent, loving homes for foster youth, and offering vocational training in skilled trades. This dual focus prepares them for adulthood with both a supportive community and the practical skills to build successful, independent lives.
